The Challenge

The website of Arkelson was a perfect example of minimalism: modern white with a main image banner, barely no accesories and decorations. Yet it somehow lack a kind of action or movement  to catch the eye of the visior.

On the other hand, the website had just a few pages and very limited infomation. It was very difficult for the staff to update the current pages or add new ones. Arkelson came to WPSNET China with a demand of a back-end administration CMS system that can provide a quick and easy way for its staff to maintain the website.

So the task for us was to redo the outdated website with a similar clean new design backed up by a secure, easy-to-use backend system to meet their need to update the webiste frequently.

Our Solution

After several meetings and discussions, Arkelson decided to go with the beautiful transparent black text block on rotating JavaScript banner. They provided us a main page design with grids of milimeter accuracy - the preciseness of real architecturers. We took over from there, developed and coded the website exactly to the design - clean, simple and perfect embodiment of Europe minimalism.

Then, as always, our WPS CMS came to the rescue as the outstanding backend managment platform, where they can manage the content of each page as well as the hiaracy of all the pages in WPS's Site Tree.

In addition to that, Arkelson also needed a Gallery function to display high resolution images in their portfolio. We integrated Litebox into the system and they were able to display them as albums and thumbnails
